After the fourth long and exhausting day of competition here at the Maple Hill Open, two players emerged as the champions that have never won the event before. Paige Pierce #29190 started out the final round ahead by five strokes over Catrina Allen #44814 and she'd finish the day as the winner with a tap-in putt for par on the 18th green. The battle between Jeremy Koling #33705 and Ricky Wysocki #38008 would end in the most exciting of ways on the 18th green. Wysocki held a one stroke lead going into the final hole but his upshot would take an extremely unfortunate roll backwards out of the island green. This allowed Koling, who had already parked his approach, to tap in for the victory with a two-stroke swing. (Link to original article on PDGA.com by Matt Gregoire.,)

Every year, Maple Hill provides one of disc golf's most anticipated moments.
In 2004, we dreamt of building a truly great event in New England. We succeeded. The MSDGC ran from 2004 to 2007.
In 2008, this dream expanded to become one of the sport's premier events The Vibram Open ran from 2008 to 2013.
Now, we continue the tradition with the only change being a nod to the course that makes this event truly great. Enter the Maple Hill Open.
